Yesterday, the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) put out an excellent post gathering a lot of resources together. I think most of us have some uncertainty around our tenants continued ability to pay rent in the coming months. My wife and I have been fortunate, as all of our tenants have been able to pay 100% of their rent. In my mind, this could change in the coming months as benefits from the CARES act expire and our politicians continue to chase their pre-election agendas.
I highly recommend you go straight to their site to download the templates and flyers. Click here.
Some of the items they discuss are:
- Template: Financial, Food and Employment Resources Available to Renters
- Eviction Mitigation Recommendations
- Talking Points: Communicating Rent Flexibility
- Signage Template for Resident Communications
- Considerations for Rent Flexibility Offers
You can download word documents on the NMHC website and customize to your liking. We are all trying to run our businesses, and I am personally very frustrated. I don’t like the whip saw of back and forth regulations and opening then closing. I am still very optimistic on the outlook for residential real estate. Our flips are preforming very well, and I think interest rates will stay below 3% for quite a while.
Take care, and let me know if I can help.
