The Great American Lie

For starters, if you are ready to pounce on me because I’m anti-American or something, you’ll need to move on to another blog. I love this country enough to die for it, which is why I served honorably in the United State Marine Corps. With that said, there is a big lie in this country that I learned the truth behind because of my time in the Marine Corps. The lie is simple. It is:

“Work hard. Put in your time. Sacrifice yourself and your desires. ONE DAY, you can retire and enjoy life.”
Says Everyone

You don’t have to kill yourself to have the life you want.

Now, the truth. YOU DON’T HAVE TO WAIT. My Gunnery Sergeant, Bob Howard, gave me the book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, when I left active duty in 2001. This book immediately changed they way I viewed my options. The principles outlined and the subsequent works by Robert Kiyosaki really do help you understand money, business, and where to put your time, effort, and savings.

On this website, I intend to share with you how at the age of 40, I could retire right now and live a life better than 95% of the world. I don’t want to retire, because I really wouldn’t do much different. That’s the key.

Now, you may be thinking I’ve come from money. Nope. You may think I have some amazing college degree. Nope. You may think I’m a genius. Nope. You may think I am the hardest worker ever. Nope.

This blog is not about “faking it till you make it”, or telling you “the grind don’t stop”. Over the next fourteen weeks, I’m going to let you in on my “Seven Time Trades”. This is the exact formula I have followed in order to create a LIFESTYLE that lets me be happy, spend time with my family, travel the globe, and create passive income while growing my personal worth.
