Here’s the deal: my HOA has been making unauthorized and even discriminatory amendments. They’re doing this stuff behind closed doors, without proper meetings or notices, and they’re flat-out breaking state laws. • May 3, 2022: HOA holds a shady meeting to “strengthen/amend Covenants,” but really, they’re just trying to restrict leases and rentals.
• June 27, 2022: I put the HOA Board President on notice about this unauthorized amendment.
• July 19, 2022: HOA holds another meeting, ignoring proper procedures again.
• October 18, 2022: We go into a mediated settlement agreement.
• November 12, 2022: HOA breaches the settlement by holding yet another improper meeting.
• February 21, 2023: I file a motion to nullify the settlement due to their continued violations.
• May 30, 2023: We defeat their motion for summary judgment.
• July 20, 2023: New complaints and petitions filed for trial and final ruling.
• August 30, 2023: Discovery requests and deposition lists sent out.
