I like to keep it simple. I am going to be sharing my favorites with people that would like to know. You’ll find my reviews on the BBQ page of this site, and you can go through the tags to sort them out. I hope it is helpful.
Ratings:
I simply assign a number, 1-5 for each category below. It basically tells you how much I liked something. An item would have to be pretty bad to get below a three, just FYI. If I don’t try something, or a joint doesn’t have an item, it is not factored into the score. The items I score are:
- Brisket
- Pork
- Chicken
- Ribs
- Specialty
- Scene
- Mood
- Desert
- Fried Side
- Other Side
SCORE:
These items are then averaged for a total rating. That rating is multiplied by 20 to reach a score. So, if you get a perfect 5 on every item, you’ll get a 100 on the score.
It’s not a science. I don’t care if the meat falls off the bone or not. This is simply the way I came up with to score the places I visit. I hope you enjoy!
